Update
First a big thanks to Jim S. who gave me A/C advice and loaned a heavy duty vacuum pump. As a result we were able to cruise into New York in air conditioned comfort. We still have a slight leak in the system and may need to add refrigerant later, but it blew cold all day long today.
Some data from today's drive: average 40 mpg, used 0.5 quarts of oil, traveled 733 miles in about 12 hours, and were in seven states (TN, VA, WV, MD, PA, NJ, and NY)

Ready to hit the road...

Virginia

Something was disturbing Tyler.

Maybe it was this car full of cats

The traffic jam...

...and it's cause.

The Staten Island Bridge, which costs $6 for the privilege
of driving over it.

Looks like a good trip so far. What's up with the cylinder #6? Huh!! What did you have to do, just clear the code?
Hey guys... looks like you are having a good time.
I read and actually enjoyed your mindless drivel... LOL

After all those miles in such a fine piece of, ahem..., american muscle, I'll be ready to take that Japanese silver bullet off your hands. It will surely be boring and of no challenge to a skilled competitor like yourself.
You also missed an excellent opportunity to show off it's unique portage feature during the traffic jam. Honestly, I expect more creativity during the BABE!
Go Go Go.
